This Year’s LOC Chili Cook-Off adds Brew Fest and a Sporty Twist


Lyndonville, VT – Ready for a day of culinary treats, athletic tests, and community vibes? Head over to the Lyndon Outing Club (LOC) in Lyndonville, Vermont, on Saturday, November 4th. They’re rolling out the 15th Annual Lyndon Outing Club Chili Cook-Off, coupled this year with the debut of the Kingdom Brew Fest and the exciting new Annual Uphill Challenge.

Kickstarting with the Uphill Challenge

Launching the day’s activities is the “Fall Back Ride/Run,” the first Annual Uphill Challenge created by local endurance athlete Jesse Holden. From 10 AM to 2 PM, participants have the opportunity to hike, run, or cycle, making as many ascents and descents as possible on the LOC hill. It’s not just a race but an invitation to the community to engage in healthy, fun competition, with awards for the top performers.

Culinary and Brewing Delights

As the athletic pursuits wind down, the festivities begin. From 1:30 to 4:30 PM, the Chili Cook-Off and Brew Fest open up. This event is a chance to taste some delectable chili concocted by the area’s finest cooks and to sip on a variety of brews from celebrated establishments like Dirt Church Brewing Company, Whirligig Brewing, Red Barn Brewing, and St. Johnsbury Distillery.

Raffle Extravaganza

An exciting raffle is also on the day’s agenda, featuring amazing contributions from local businesses.
